Elizabeth Meador Flowers is a wedding and event floral design studio that celebrates the beauty of the natural world. We strive to enhance one’s connection with nature through designs that honor seasonality, emphasize understated elegance and evoke feelings of warmth. Infusing the romance of flowers with the unique personalities of each client, we create thoughtful designs that subtly signal to relish in the joy of the present moment.

Behind the Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

I have been a gardener from a young age and grew up in a family that frequently hosted grand parties and celebrations. This fostered a deep love and respect for the art of entertaining from an early age. After college I went to school for western herbalism studying the plant world from the perspective of their health benefits, enhancing my connection to flowers. While working in the wellness industry I began delivering garden bouquets to friends and family which organically evolved into a wedding and event floral design business. Combining my love of nature and aesthetics with my love of bringing people together, I now have the honor of designing flowers for amazing couples on one of the most important days of their lives.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

I would describe my aesthetic as natural, romantic and whimsical with a sense of understated elegance.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

In the world of weddings, I’m currently inspired by so many couples prioritizing sustainability and seasonality. As florists when we work with couples who are open to the colors, textures and flowers native to a location or season, we can greatly reduce our environmental impact and support the local economy of growers wherever we are designing.

What would you like to see less of?

I’d like to see less “trends” in the wedding and event industry. I don’t believe in trends, and I feel the most special and memorable weddings are those that reflect the unique personalities and love story of each couple.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

When it comes to wedding planning, my best advice is to select a team of professionals whose style you align with, who shares your values and whom you trust. Also, enjoy the process because being engaged is such a special time in life.
