Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

Coming from a family of architects spanning several generations, I was almost forced to choose a profession that would allow me to give free rein to creativity and that was directly related to aesthetics.

It was precisely a Wedding Planner with whom I still work on some occasions, who gave me the opportunity and proposed to me, almost 20 years ago, to open my first event design and decoration department, since the demand was increasing and it was something very novel, which had not happened until then, at least at the levels we currently experience.

What services do you offer couples?

As a design studio specialized in events, we create comprehensive decoration projects, counting on both our own production workshop that meets our own needs, and a floral workshop that we have called “Pura Esencia”

Not finding many rental options for atrezzo and furniture that did not identify with our brand, the idea was born to create “Quintaesencia Rentals”, an independent department that satisfies not only the demand of our clients from our own company, Enesencia, but from those who do not need a complete decorating project and prefer to carry it out on their own.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

For the team, each setting is a unique and different blank canvas and our muse are the surroundings. What we seek is to sublimate the chosen spaces, arriving at the place and letting it whisper information in our ears.

We let intuition do its job and guide us to choose the ideal color palette, the volumes necessary to give it the correct proportions or the elements that will enhance its corners. We consider that every event is full of opportunities to delight our guests with the unexpected.

As a stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Our inspiration comes from a combination of sources. A direct relationship with architecture and art, continuous enrichment through travel and having had the privilege of living in several countries from a very young age immersing ourselves in their different cultures, has awakened our curiosity, creativity and concerns.

What would you like to see less of?

We would like direct contact with the client to never disappear since, if there are mediators, many times an incorrect, distorted or misinterpreted vision of the couples’ original wishes reaches the decorators/designers, who are the ones who have really studied and know all the ins and outs of the profession in all its dimensions.

On a practical level, ensure that the professionalism of each supplier is fully respected, so that both the Wedding Planner that hires us and the client for whom we are going to carry out the project, trust in our experience and good work from the beginning, in the first joint meeting, until the day of the event.

A styling tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

We are committed to providing new trends every season, selecting versatile collections that satisfy the most demanding customers, which is why we would like them to let themselves be guided and advised by the team if they choose our company.

We flee from what is already too seen or obsolete, embracing both the new and elegant classic for the most conservative, and the most groundbreaking, for the riskiest.
