Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

The beginning of our brand dates back to five years ago when we first met. From the start, we worked incredibly well together, combining Mariana’s love and passion for design, transforming spaces and materializing all ideas and Renata’s dedication and enthusiasm for logistics, administration and perfection. This synergy and our shared vision led us to join forces and create Eterna. It was the perfect mix of talents and passions that sparked the initial idea for our brand.

What services do you offer couples?

At Eterna, we offer a variety of services to ensure couples have a seamless and memorable wedding experience:

1. Wedding Planning: Providing full-service planning, from initial concept to day-of coordination, ensuring every detail is meticulously handled.
2. Event Design: Creating cohesive and personalized design concepts, including decor, florals, lighting, and ambiance, to bring the couple’s dream wedding to life.
3. Logistics Management: Overseeing all logistical aspects, including vendor coordination and timeline management, to ensure everything runs smoothly.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Our aesthetic can be described as sleek, clean, and classic. Having this base ensures that each event with a strong design project reflects the unique essence of the couple. This approach allows us to create elegant and timeless settings that are both sophisticated and personalized, making each wedding a true reflection of the couple’s individuality.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

We are currently inspired by a myriad of exciting elements in the world of weddings. From multicultural celebrations to the innovative projects emerging from Mexico’s tourism outreach, to the bold and unique designs that push boundaries. We’re also captivated by the trend towards interactive guest experiences, where every moment becomes a memorable part of the celebration. Moreover, meeting amazing couples and collaborating with talented vendors continually fuels our creativity, enabling us to bring fresh perspectives and personalized touches to each wedding we create. These inspirations drive us to continually seek new ideas and approaches, ensuring that each wedding we create is as remarkable and unforgettable as the couples themselves.

What would you like to see less of?

In the world of weddings, I would like to see less emphasis on unrealistic expectations and pressures to conform to traditional norms. Instead, I hope to see more acceptance of diverse love stories, inclusivity, and authenticity. It’s essential to recognize the value of the profession and the expertise that wedding planners and vendors bring to the table. Their ability to curate unforgettable experiences, navigate logistical challenges, and create spaces that reflect the couple’s personalities adds immense value to the wedding industry. Overall, I believe that focusing on meaningful connections, genuine experiences, and mindful choices can lead to more fulfilling and memorable weddings.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

One valuable tip I’ve learned is to prioritize communication and transparency throughout the planning process. Open and honest communication between the couple and their planner/stylist helps ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding expectations, preferences, and budget. Another important tip is to focus on creating moments that truly reflect the couple’s personalities and relationship. While it’s easy to get caught up in trends or societal expectations, the most memorable weddings are those that feel authentic and meaningful to the couple. Incorporating personal touches, shared hobbies, or significant milestones into the wedding day can help create a unique and heartfelt experience that resonates with both the couple and their guests.
