Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

I believe wedding photography is an incredible technical challenge—it requires improvisation, mastery of multiple creative styles, and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environments and unexpected situations that can only be managed through experience.

Beyond the technical aspect, what truly draws me to it is the opportunity to tell unique stories through the raw emotions and authentic connections of my clients. Every wedding is a new world, a different narrative, and I love capturing these fleeting, unrepeatable moments in a way that makes them timeless.

How would you describe your photography style?

certainly draw inspiration from current trends, but my priority is to offer a photographic experience and final product that is, above all, iconic and timeless. I navigate different styles and influences while staying true to a natural approach—focusing on human expressions and emotions with a blend of editorial and documentary storytelling, always with a strong emphasis on portraiture..

In today’s fast-evolving landscape—where AI and constantly shifting formats create an overwhelming digital noise—I feel an even stronger pull toward the essence of photography. That’s why I love expanding my craft by rediscovering its origins, incorporating film photography to highlight certain aspects of artistic expression and bring a tangible, enduring quality to my work.

What inspires you creatively?

For me, photography, music, and painting are all powerful forms of art and expression. But when it comes to wedding photography, it’s about more than just aesthetics—it’s about people who love, who feel deeply, and who want to represent themselves in a way that tells their story to their loved ones through images.

Finding inspiration is complex because there are so many sources, and in today’s digital noise, it’s easy to get lost. That’s why I turn to the past—to the journeys of the photographers who came before us. With what we might now consider rudimentary tools, they mastered light and emotion, capturing moments that remain timeless. Their work reminds me that, at its core, photography is about feeling, storytelling, and the ability to make fleeting moments last forever.

What is it that makes an image magical?

I like to think of Plato when he said, “Light is knowledge, shadow is illusion,” or of Heraclitus’ quote, “The hidden harmony is stronger than the visible one.”

In both cases, they speak of light and shadow—the two elements that make a photograph harmonious and expressive. Light reveals the visible, the part our eyes easily interpret, while shadows, dark and deep, invite our emotions and inner world to emerge. They stir something within us, resonating with feelings that remain hidden from sight but not from the soul.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

I believe that every couple is unique—two individuals who, together, create an even more special and unrepeatable bond.

For this reason, invest your energy in finding a photographer with whom you feel truly connected, someone who makes you comfortable enough to express your uniqueness freely.

Choose a photographer who knows your wedding location well, has local connections, or can navigate unexpected situations with ease. Over the years, I’ve witnessed and experienced countless adventures, and I’ve learned that a deep understanding of a place and its culture is essential to truly excelling in this craft.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

I’m fortunate to have been born and to live in Tuscany, a land I deeply love—one that allows me to move effortlessly between charming rustic farmhouses nestled in rolling hills, elegant villas, and rooftop terraces in Italy’s most iconic art cities.

I work across Italy, from the stunning masserie of Puglia to the baroque cities of Sicily, and up to the northern lakes with their opulent villas. I also travel throughout Europe, making it truly difficult to pick a favorite location. However, close to home, Villa Cetinale holds a special place in my heart, just as Tonnara di Scopello in Sicily does—a dream setting that never ceases to inspire me.
