Morneta is one of the most iconic venues in Mallorca, a 13th century property, fully renovated, combining tradition and modernity. Nestled in the heart of Mallorca, Morneta offers the perfect Mediterranean vibe.

The possibilities are endless, Ceremony under the ancient pine tree, cocktail reception around the pool, an infinite table in between the orange trees or a cozzie dinner in the courtyard.

The interior spaces leave everyone speechless, “Tafona”, Olive oil press from the 17th century, “The Aljub” the water tank from the 14th century or the “Celler” from 16th century, are incredible scenarios for the party.

Morneta is a family owned property, my husband Nicolas and myself, Lucia, together with our daughter Leonor love to host beautiful weddings and preserve this legacy for the future generations. Morneta is living history of Mallorca.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?

In 1953 the Great Grandfather of my Husband Nicolas bought Morneta as a wedding present to his daughter Leonor Vivo Squella. Sixty years later Nicolas and I, Lucia, got married at Morneta.

We have been involved in hospitality business since our careers started and we were managing iconic 5 star hotels across the globe.

In 2019 we decided to come back to Mallorca and run the business by ourselves, we were preparing us for this beautiful adventure and was the perfect time for that.

Since then, Morneta is our life project, and we are reinvesting constantly in the house and 40 hectares of land. We want to preserve this legacy for the future generations and create memorable experience for every guest that visit us.

What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?

There are plenty of possibilities:

• The olive tree garden, a beautiful garden in front of the Calàmós house, a perfect spot for welcome drinks or cocktail reception.
• The ancient pine tree area, a perfect spot for ceremonies but also a dinner reception favorite.
• The pool, perfect for cocktail reception but also a great spot for dinners.
• The orange tree garden, for infinite tables for dinner or ceremony.
• The main façade, great for ceremonies with the house on the backdrop.
• The pond, beautiful ceremony spot.
• The pergola, a perfect spot for dinner for those who would like a structure to hang beautiful decoration.
• The courtyard for intimate dinners and the perfect sport for the lounge when the party start.
• The Olive oil press, a passing area that lives everyone speechless or the perfect sport for the plan B for the cocktail reception and welcome drink.
• The Cellar, the favorite spot for parties with the very impressive gothic arches and a beautiful plan B for dinners.
• The water tank, or the rave cave (as many grooms call this room), perfect for parties but also a great plan B for ceremonies.

What is it that makes your property magic?

Morneta has a “wow” effect when guests see it for the first time. The magnificent façade, the gardens the interiors. It is a perfect combination. Experience the transition between day and night and the incredible Mallorcan light make the perfect vibe.

What advice can you give couples when selecting their venue?

Choose a venue that has different possibilities, it is important to change locations for each step, to create a dynamic wedding and wow factor to your guests.
