From its magnificent homestead to its serene 160-year-old gardens and towering ancient trees there is an indelible magic that can be felt by all who enter its grounds. In the 19th century, Gabbinbar was the summer residence for the Governors of Queensland. They would gather, with loved ones and friends, to enjoy long lazy days that merged into star-filled nights alive with laughter and relaxation—celebrating each moment that makes life special.

The Gabbinbar package is all-inclusive, providing exclusive use of our 13-acre manicured estate and all of your wedding day furniture and equipment needs. The food and beverages for your day are taken care of with our four-course menu crafted from the finest ingredients, accompanied by 7.5 hours of sommelier-curated wine and beverages. At the heart of our offering is our bespoke wedding planning and highly trained team, who will ensure you and your guests experience extraordinary, personalised service both leading up to and on your wedding day.

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

On your wedding day Gabbinbar becomes exclusively yours. This means the entire estate is available for you and your guests to enjoy including the the retreat, historic homestead with drawing room, library and conservatory, the gardens, stables and the old school house. We have four distinctly beautiful ceremony locations or you are welcome to choose your own location within the estate. We offer a magnificent glass conservatory that can be used for your reception or you can choose to have an outdoor reception under the stars.

How many people can each of these cater for?

We have many indoor and outdoor reception locations at Gabbinbar and would be delighted to work with you to accommodate your guest numbers. We have a maximum capacity of 150 guests.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

We do not offer accommodation onsite however we neighbour some gorgeous AirBnb properties which we highly recommend.
