As you stroll around the grounds you will see the likes of citrus trees and herb gardens, Australian wildlife, and farm animals.

Beneath the terracotta tones of heritage corrugated iron, Greyleigh’s luxury farmhouse-style accommodation is a delightful blend of grand and quaint, eclectic and whimsical. The Homestead and Guesthouse can host your bridal party or closest relatives for the night – styled with decadent collections gathered over generations, luxury amenities, and centuries of authentic Australian heritage. Relax and enjoy your wedding experience with a cabana pool, spa room, and outdoor woodfire pizza oven right at your doorstep.

Greyleigh is a 170-year-old historic working farm with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, perfect for any event.  Gather your nearest and dearest in The Secret Garden, The Orchards, The Lawn or host your sit-down reception in The Gables. There are plenty of stunning options to make your special day seamless. Accommodating up to 150 guests, whether it be for long table dinners or canape style – Greyleigh presents a truly unique frame for any celebration, big or small.

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

The Secret Garden – Discover a natural aisle and amphitheater-like covered garden that undergoes a stunning transformation every season. Home to birds of all colors, shapes, and sizes. The Secret Garden offers sweeping views of the ocean and idyllic backdrops for wedding ceremonies and other memorable events. Imaginations are free to run wild along with the 50m x 6m garden with space for up to 150 guests. The Secret Garden has permanent garden lighting & power access.

The Gables – The Gables originally a dairy shed, has since been renovated into a spectacular event space. Enjoy the well-lit gardens and mountainous Morten Bay Fig that surrounds, take a wander outdoors to the beautiful seating area around the fire pit, or gather in the historical concrete silos with an indoor fireplace, custom seating, and phases of the moon in the ceiling. There is no place quite like it. The Gables offers 450sqm of possibilities and a brand new commercial kitchen. Accommodating up to 150 guests – Greyleigh presents a truly picture-perfect frame for any celebration.

The Orchard – Wine, dine, and celebrate amidst the magic of Greyleigh’s Orchard. An ideal setting for a relaxed picnic or cocktail style celebration, or perhaps a long table wedding reception large or small.

In The Orchard, you and your guests will find yourselves surrounded by lush trees, a large variety of citrus, a mango & mulberry tree, apples, peaches, figs, quince, olive, and nut trees that have been on the property for over 100 years.

The Lawn – In the grand presence of a 100 plus year-old Fig Tree and Norfolk Pines, this truly beautiful space is ideal for wedding celebrations. The Lawn offers stunning views out to Kiama beach, the green rolling hills of Jamberoo, and the Illawarra’s escarpment. The Lawn is perfect for a ceremony, drinks and canapes after the ceremony, and marquee receptions.

How many people can each of these cater for?

Up to 150 guests across all spaces.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Yes, our Homestead sleeps up to 10, and our Guest House sleeps up to 6 guests. Wedding packages include exclusive use of both.

What additional features and facilities does your property offer that couples may find useful?

The Spa – A calming space just off our Homestead, for a deeply nourishing and rejuvenating facial or massage treatment the day before your Wedding. A serene place for brides and their nearest to have their hair and makeup done on the big day.

The Pool & Cabana – A charming pool with a unique view  -overlooking the rolling hills and our animals roaming the paddocks that surround you. A grand place to relax the morning after your Wedding, our for the groomsmen to have some downtime together before the big day ahead. The cabana includes a covered dining table and seating, an outdoor shower, sun lounges, a mini-bar fridge, and a sink.

Outdoor woodfire pizza oven – Make gourmet pizzas together in the outdoor woodfire pizza oven, the night before your big day.

The Courtyard – The Courtyard is a perfect space to enjoy the afternoon glow, watching the sun setting over the beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Just outside the beautiful The Gables you may like to step outside and have your first dance under the stars and the festoon lighting. The Courtyard can also fit 60 people seated and 100 standing.

Outdoor fire pit – Gather around our outdoor fire pit with stunning vistas for some quiet moments before or after your special day.

Why we love it…

We love a country property, but there’s a fine line between an elegant hinterland space that spills with nostalgia and serenity, and one that all too literally says rustic farm. Greyleigh is a beautiful balance of contrast and infused with great design. Here you’ll find the nostalgic beauty of a rustic barn, transformed with modern architectural details. One of our favorite features (that doubles as a beautiful backdrop for editorial-inspired wedding pics) are the historic concrete silos from the 1800’s (owned by the property’s original dairy farmer) reimagined as modern cocktail lounges that wrap around modern fire places.  It’s a place that offers a myriad of ceremony and reception options so no two wedding are ever the same – from The Gables, to whimsical botanical gardens that frame pathways and lead out to blank canvas locations.

For the couple…

Greyleigh is a wedding venue for couples wanting a hinterland venue on the NSW south coast that gives you a myriad of choice and feeling of complete seclusion with the logistical ease of everything contained in the one property and just a quick drive on the outskirts of Kiama. It’s for couples romanced by dreamy vistas of rolling hills and a wild ocean as their ceremony backdrop, without having to head overseas.

For us it’s always about balance and contrast, so this blank canvas hinterland space is best styled with elements that exaggerate an elegance and sense of barefoot luxury. Think flowers and candles en mass in the reception space to add warmth, softly draped linen that spills to the ground to soften the masculine surrounds… styling that steers clear of rustic or bohemian cliches but of course still ties in organically with the location.
