Behind The Brand
What was the spark for beginning your brand?
Ever since I started studying fashion, I completely fell in love with lace and texture. There was something so magical about how fabrics could carry emotion and tell a story. I always knew I wanted to create something meaningful and hands-on, and starting Guardiola Bridal felt like the perfect way to bring that love for detail, craftsmanship, and beauty to life.
What inspires you creatively?
So many things, music, books, films… even a single emotion can spark an idea for a gown. I’m especially drawn to the feeling a story or a melody can evoke, and I try to translate that into textures, silhouettes, and movement. Sometimes, it’s as simple as a line from a novel or a scene in a film that lingers in my mind and becomes the starting point for a design.
A favorite quote or piece of advice that inspires your creative work?
I’ve always been inspired by Sofia Coppola’s ability to create entire worlds through subtle emotion, light, and detail. One of her quotes that stays with me is: “I like to find the beauty in the everyday, and make it feel cinematic.” That idea of quiet, thoughtful beauty really resonates with how I approach design—soft, intentional, and full of feeling.
What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?
Listen to your heart, not the trends. The right dress will feel like you (but elevated). Stay open, be honest with your stylist, and don’t underestimate the power of beautiful tailoring. Magic often lies in the fit and the feeling you transmit on it.
What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?
At the moment, I’m inspired by the intersection of precision craftsmanship and meaningful design, bridal pieces that feel singular and intentional. Our focus is on creating gowns that are both elevated yet attainable, allowing brides to express individuality over trend. There’s power in choosing something that speaks to who you are, and we take pride in offering that kind of beauty: elevated, honest, and consciously made.
What I’d love to see less of is the influence of fast fashion trends in bridal. It can make such a meaningful moment feel rushed or superficial, and it takes away from the artistry and craftsmanship that this industry is built on.
