We are Jayne and Andi Quinn Clawson, co-founders of Halcyon Halcyon, a London-based multidisciplinary creative studio specializing in event design & production, wedding planning, floral design & styling. We have 20 years of experience working within the events industry; from managing venues to producing a wide range of events including product launches, press shows, pop-ups, private parties and weddings.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

We created Halcyon Halcyon in 2018.  Previously, Jayne worked as a Senior Event Producer for some of London’s best-known creative agencies, producing high-value events for global brands across the UK and beyond. I (Andi) managed a portfolio of event spaces and wedding venues in East London, and worked as a freelance Production Manager. Halcyon Halcyon was born from feeling like we were always chained to our laptops despite working in an exciting creative industry. Having to seek creative outlets outside of work, we both successfully gained a professional floristry qualification in 2018.  As floral design is often an integral part of weddings and events we felt this was a great opportunity to merge our skills and set-up our own business. Since the outset we have continued to push ourselves, whilst refining our style, increasing our offering to couples, and ensuring we deliver the highest possible level of service.

What services do you offer couples?

We offer wedding couples three main services: wedding planning, floral design, and styling.

Wedding Planning

We provide a flexible wedding planning service, which can be tailored to your specific needs. From full wedding planning to partial planning, we can support you as much or as little as you need.  From finding your dream venue to ensuring the smooth delivery of your vision on the day, we will work with you to create a truly unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

Floral Design

We offer a bespoke floral design service with a strong emphasis on high-end, luxury, contemporary design.  Drawing inspiration from art, music, and the beauty of the natural world, our designs embody modernity and contemporary elegance. We love working with couples who value style and creativity, and this is reflected in all of our designs.  More than just a florist, our unique design approach considers all the elements of your wedding, from lighting, furniture, crockery and stationery to logistics, timings, and venue restrictions, ensuring a considered and cohesive look.

Styling

In addition to floral design, we also offer an enhanced styling service where we will work closely with you to bring your dream day to life.  We can help with everything from stationery design right through to creating a unique, breathtaking tablescape for your wedding breakfast.

We work with our trusted suppliers to source all elements including crockery, furniture, props and lighting to ensure we deliver the highest quality experience for you and your guests.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We embrace a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic, drawing inspiration from art, sculpture, and architecture.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

We’re inspired by art, music and the beauty of the natural world. These subjects are always at our core when we’re planning, designing and styling.

What would you like to see less of?

Waste. We work in an industry that can be quite wasteful at times. Without the beauty of nature, we wouldn’t be able to create the designs that we do; that’s why we always strive to minimize our impact on the environment and approach our designs in a sustainable manner.  We partner with suppliers whose environmental values align with ours, including charities to whom we donate our leftover florals that can be repurposed into confetti, or green waste that can be composted.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

When building your team of wedding suppliers, make sure their work excites you. Give them as much creative freedom as possible to express their talents and ultimately bring your wedding day to life. This is when they’ll produce their best work.
