Behind the Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
I am a planner through and through in all aspects of life, I have always had a love for the finer details and designing moments that are special to me and those around me. Once I started to plan my own wedding, I quickly realised that it was something that I enjoyed immensely. I was able to meticulously plan and refine my vision to reflect my individual style and create a sense of emotion for all my friends and family who were there with me. Following this, I knew this was something that I wanted to do all the time. I hoped to have the honor to create an incredible wedding experience for others, so they could sit back and enjoy the process with me whilst I help plan and design their special day for them. The feeling that you get when you reach the wedding day and get to look back at what you have created together is something I will truly always cherish.

How would you describe your aesthetic?
Chic, thoughtful and refined, whilst allowing for each detail to have its moment.
As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
I have always been intrigued by the way you can transform a blank canvas or one that holds very little excitement and turn it into something magical. For me personally, I am influenced by tones, texture, and light and believe there is a certain way every space can make someone feel. I love to take on inspiration from my own personal life and what I love to surround myself with when it comes to design, even in my own home or the pieces I look at from afar, the fashion choices that inspire me at the time or any other unique inspiration I discover along the way.
What would you like to see less of?
Feeling the need to follow the latest trend – there is nothing more inspiring than seeing something come to life and thinking wow, that’s authentic.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
When planning a wedding, you want to be able to enjoy the process as much as possible right up until the wedding day. There can be plenty of stressful aspects when it comes to planning a wedding both financially and when it comes to choosing your vendors. I always suggest to my clients to sit down and work out what your priorities are for your wedding whether that’s a good band or an amazing photographer that you love. I always suggest securing those first, that way you don’t have to worry about missing out and it also gives you an idea on how much budget you have left for the rest of the wedding. There is nothing more stressful than booking multiple vendors last minute and needing to find those extra funds that you didn’t realise you needed or miss out on booking someone who you really resonate with.
For styling, I suggest not doing this too early in the planning process. I made that mistake for my own wedding and by the time I got to finalising my styling, my entire vibe had changed. I had locked in multiple items which no longer wanted and you’re always going to get fresh ideas and inspiration as the seasons change. Styling is a forever evolving element throughout the process however, waiting until about six months out from your wedding is when I like to start finalising the styling concepts for my clients.
