About Horseshoe Bend Estate

Horseshoe Bend Estate is our most popular wedding venue and can host up to 100 guests. It has a variety of set-up/lay out options depending on how you plan to stage your big day, with a relaxed and informal setting that feels like your own private resort. It is situated on 17 acres with two separate villas and sleeps up to 12 guests. Features include a swimming pool (summer only), steam room, spa, tennis court, petanque court, pond, huge gardens and acreage-space for glamping tents or marquees.

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

The grounds can house marquees of all sizes. There is also the pool cabana which can be set up as a bar. There is a large barn style garage that could potentially be set up for a small wedding party.

How many people can each of these cater for?

The price includes an event for up to 100 people but a larger number can be catered for as long as all facilities are in place, toilets, etc. which need to be hired.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

The main villa sleeps six guests and the tennis court pavilion sleeps another six guests (two of which would be in a kid’s bedroom). There is also room for Glamping Tents, with a maximum number of overnight guests being 16 (POA).

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

There is an option for helicopters to land, therefore giving the ability for the bride and groom to be taken to some amazing locations for photographs. The venue also offers some great photo opportunities around the grounds, by the pool, etc.

Release Wanaka can organise other accommodation in Wanaka for wedding guests and transport to the venue.

Styling tips…

Host your ceremony on the pristine grounds and let your guests take in the unobstructed views. Have your cocktail hour by the pool, setting up a bar in the cabana and organize a marquee for your reception as it tends to get cooler as the sun goes down.

Enjoy the estate to the fullest and have your guests over by the pool for a recovery bbq the next day and a casual game of tennis.
