Our company was founded on the premise that planning a celebration can and should be as joyful as the celebration itself. It's so much more than just one day. In this fast-paced world, it’s a radical idea to cherish the journey. And as with every journey, who you travel with is just as important as the destination itself.
Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
Looking back, it’s easy to connect the dots, but as an Art History Major with a studio art minor at NYU, I never imagined myself planning weddings. My passion was always creating elevated environments. After simultaneously taking courses at Parson’s and New York School of Interior Design, I secured a job working as an interior designer at a high end NY firm.
The first event I ever planned was a charity golf tournament in memory of my father to benefit cancer research. This led to a job planning events for Men’s Health Magazine, and eventually, working as the Director of Marketing for Marie Claire Magazine.
My background in interior design, architecture, and art history, coupled with my corporate event experience, created a synergy between my love of design and my passion for creating exceptional experiences. I decided to start my own event planning firm specializing in corporate events, non-profit fundraisers and strategic alliances.
A few months later, a friend approached me with a last-minute request to plan their wedding. I was enchanted by the profound feeling of fulfillment working with individuals to plan milestone celebrations compared to planning corporate events. This pivotal moment served as the catalyst for launching my own wedding planning firm. Now, 23 year later, it’s all come full circle as the former Art History Major is now the exclusive social planner at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

How would you describe your aesthetic?
Understated elegance with a touch of whimsy and a lot of wow.
As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
Each event brings its own inspiration. Each client is a story to be read and interpreted. I have always been inspired by art, and now I am inspired by artists. I love the concept of stimulating the senses and evoking emotions through design, in a way that feels effortless and approachable. Using a combination of design elements, I can create that magical atmosphere that seems simple yet is actually incredibly complex and layered with interactivity.
What would you like to see less of?
I would like to see less of the same. Access to images of other people’s weddings lead to copycat behaviour. I like to reinvent the wheel for each client, so we’re not stepping into someone else’s wedding.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Your journey is your journey. Not a competition.
It’s so much more than just one day. Cherish the journey.
