Kat the Label is designed for the women who want more from their intimates. Pieces that are too beautiful to hide, worn as a statement or as an empowering secret to yourself.

What styling advice do you have for brides when purchasing lingerie for their wedding day or honeymoon?

For your wedding day, comfort and fit are key. If you are looking for lingerie to wear on the big day, I’d be looking for comfortable and supportive underwires, and g-string cut underwear. The less bells and whistles, the more comfort throughout your big day.

The honeymoon is where you can change it up, I’d be going for comfortable and cute bralette styles for those early morning breakfasts on the beach, and some beautifully embellished styles to wear peek-a-boo style under a white blouse to dinner, such as the gold Dynasty underwire or Candice underwire.

Don’t be afraid of color on your honeymoon, red can add a little flavor if you’re after it, while pink is a beautiful tone (especially if you’re working on a honeymoon tan!). This is your chance to wear the black too, you can add a layer like a garter belt for a more sensual look as well.

What is your most popular style for brides?

Brides love the white scalloped lace styles such as the Dahlia underwire set in white, as well as the Belle white bralette set. When you’re getting ready in the morning you want to be comfortable and beautiful. A white lace bralette is a perfect piece to layer under your dressing gown while enjoying your morning.

I find that the white bralette sets are a particularly beautiful keepsake gift for their bridesmaids as well.

What advice do you give to brides to care for their lingerie?

Looking after your lingerie is important. We want you to cherish your lingerie pieces, so taking care of them is key in their longevity. We recommend storing your lingerie in our chiffon lingerie garment bags when in the lingerie drawer. This avoids other hooks or clasps getting stuck to the delicate lace and pulling them. The other best thing you can do for your lingerie is hand washing them in cold water with a gentle shampoo. Elastics and laces can age and wear over time, and the washing machine can halve your items life span. After gentling washing your pieces lay out a towel on a table or shaded area, and dry them flat. This will ensure the elastic doesn’t stretch and wear too quickly.
