Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
Love, beauty, legacy. A wedding celebration is one of life’s most significant events, and being there to photograph it is an honor as well as a big responsibility for us. We strive to capture all the emotions and beauty of the day, from those quiet moments during getting ready, through an emotional first look, ceremony and vows, to newlywed portraits during the most magical time of day. The details and decor, the venue and sense of place, and all the joy and happiness of the reception and party all comes together. Wedding photos are the only thing, besides the video, that you will have left after your wedding celebration, and we realize the photos only gain value with time. Through our lenses we aim to thoughtfully document the entire day in the most honest and beautiful way, so that every time you look at them you remember all the love, joy, beauty, emotions, and fun you had with your partner and your loved ones.
How would you describe your photography style?
Our style of photography merges our background in editorial and lifestyle photography and architecture design with wedding destinations, expanding anywhere from stunning luxury resorts to remote adventurous locations. We are passionate and creative in capturing beautiful details, documentary-style raw emotions, and editorial-like portraits fit for magazine covers.
What inspires you creatively?
Travels, design, architecture, nature, and landscapes.
What is it that makes an image magical?
There are many elements that make an image beautiful, like the backdrop of a venue, the composition, the light; but when you add to all that genuine emotions captured between a couple or between guests, those are the images that I feel bring out the magic and fill your heart every time you look at them.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
Have a Zoom call with your photographer so you can meet in-person and get a feel of their personality, values, and communication. Your photographers will be with you through the entire wedding weekend and it is important that you feel comfortable and aligned.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
We love photographing anywhere where a couple in love will take us. We’d love to photograph in Japan, and we always appreciate sites with beautiful design and architecture, historic sites or ruins of a historical place.
Editor’s Notes
Why we love LA76…
As planners and stylists ourselves that know just how much time, energy and resources go into choosing an extraordinary destination and painting a blank canvas with meticulous design – we absolutely love the way LA76 Photography captures the details. From the drama of a location, to the artful composition of a tablescape, down to the fine art details that layer together to create a story, they really do justice to all of that hard work. This, coupled of course with their emotive, editorial-style portraits make them the ultimate destination wedding photographers in our eyes.
For the couple…
Who want a destination wedding photographer based in Mexico (but available worldwide) to do justice to all of their creative decisions, artfully framing it all through clever composition, an editorial style and an intuitive eye to recognize the soulful, fleeting moments that unfold amongst it all.
