Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

We are María and Julia, sisters, wedding designers, and co-founders of LA FEDERICA. The former has been passionate about weddings since childhood, while the latter has a love for flowers and interior design. After working in other professions (business and advertising), we decided to focus on our passion and dedicate ourselves to the world of weddings.

What services do you offer couples?

We offer three services:

• Event Design: We take a personal approach for each couple and event, placing great importance on reflecting their personalities in the wedding. We shape and transform it into something sophisticated and elegant, turning their vision into reality. We meticulously select each vendor to bring that dream to life, and we attend to every detail until the day of the event.
• Event planning: We leave nothing to chance; we want our couples to feel in the hands of their trusted person. We control every minute in the execution of the event to ensure perfection. Our team ensures the wedding unfolds smoothly and organically, without constraints.
• Floral design: Our origin and what provides us with a unique sense of event plnning (we know all the intricacies from the ground up, and our years as florists give us a highly valuable background) and design (we bring an artistic and sensitive contribution, understanding spaces, the natural flow of events, and infusing sensitivity into the design).

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We’d describe it as a timeless interpretation of trends.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Interior design is an endless source of inspiration for us, as are photography and cinema. Often, we visualize spaces akin to those final photographic moments.

What would you like to see less of?

In the broader context of weddings, we often wish to see better resource and budget management. Occasionally, we encounter decisions that don’t have a real or distinctive impact on the wedding, missing the opportunity to achieve something more special.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Being an organized person doesn’t make you your own wedding planner; delegate and trust your professionals. Be an active part of decision-making, and always contribute with your own personality.
