Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

A romantic at heart, there’s nothing more gratifying than being able to capture the raw emotions and beauty that weddings bring.​ Having originally studied ancient history and curatorship, my deep appreciation for preserving a moment in time provides me with a unique approach to the importance of documenting life events​. Always having ​been drawn to the arts, I wasn’t surprised when my path led me to my career capturing weddings. I am so grateful to have a job which links all my interests and inspirations and to be able to feel such a passion for my work.

How would you describe your photography style?

​Documentary, timeless, refined approach with an editorial, fashion-inspired feel. I approach the day with an open mind and heart and document the wedding day as it flows, as well as catch all the ​gorgeous details​ and the beautiful in-between moments, while ​also ensuring we get those epic couple portraits ​.

What inspires you creatively?

I love fashion, art, architecture, history, travel​, and I am grateful that wedding photography allows me to draw inspiration from all of these passions to be able to create​. ​My couples inspire me, people inspire me, and this allows me to catch the in-between moments of the day that may usually be missed.

What is it that makes an image magical?

​When ​the moment and the light come together in an image ​so beautifully or ​emotively that it creates a visceral response​.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

​Ensure you connect with your photographer’s work and trust your gut.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

​A grand museum, gallery or library, somewhere steeped in history and stories, such as the New York Public Library.
