What draws you to wedding photography?

I have such a deep passion for telling authentic stories through thoughtfully crafted frames. I love photographing people and capturing the true essence of someone’s personality – those genuine moments that reflect people’s uniqueness, their connection with self and others, and love stories in the most authentic way possible. Photography as a medium is such a powerful art form – I love how an image can evoke so many emotions without needing words or explanation. Telling people’s unique story through my lens and all of the intimate, special moments shared between their loved ones is such a special honor and a gift.

How would you describe your photography style?

My style and approach is highly tailored to capture each of my couple’s unique vision and genuine personalities, their most special moments and their connections with their loved ones in an authentic, artful, emotive and stylish approach.

I strive for a harmonious mix of organic, fun, romantic, and honest imagery, embracing the unscripted, raw moments with a focus on genuine emotion. I have a modern and documentary creative approach to create imagery that is timeless with an effortless yet elegant and luxurious touch. While I can bring a laid back and calm presence, I also inject a vibrant energy and lots of joy, fun and laughter into the day. I love to build a connection with each couple which allows my couples to relax, feel comfortable and be their true selves, so that I can capture their vibe and their unique story. Remaining present and attuned to the emotions and connections in the space, I aim to document the most honest and raw moments—whether loud or intimate. Combining this style and approach, I capture and frame each wedding uniquely and beautifully tailored to each couple.

What inspires you creatively?

I draw inspiration from my couples and their connections with the ones they love. This will always remain the core. In addition to this, I also find inspiration in art, fashion, architecture, and cinematic film.

What is it that makes an image magical?

As a photographer, it’s important to me that I remain open to feeling all of the emotions with people, as this empathy and sensitivity allows me to tell a much more powerful, unique and magical visual story. It’s all in the subtle art of noticing. When I’m truly immersed in any day/experience, I notice and become aware of the subtle dynamics between people and what makes each connection special and unique. That is where the magic starts to spark. The truth and authenticity that is held within each emotional human connection. On a wedding day, I ride all of the different waves of emotions with my couples, their families and their friends. I pick up on people’s emotions/energy and feel it all. Only then can I tell a truly genuine story of how the day unfolds through my photography. I think being an empath in itself is such a special gift, and being able to put these sensitivities to use I feel so grateful to be able to capture these special intimate moments in people’s lives that they will look back on and remember for generations.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

It is so important that you connect with your wedding photographer. Their personality and energy should  effortlessly align with yours, and you should feel comfortable and at ease in their presence so that you can truly be yourself. Choose a photographer that gets on board with your vision and desires for your day, so you can feel confident and trust in their ability to tell your story as you envision it – with their added creative flair. And finally, go with your gut. If your wedding photographer’s portfolio of images moves you emotionally and makes you feel something, then book them!

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

I have a few dream locations. I would love to capture love in the heart of New York City. I think the busy bustling energy and cool New York atmosphere would be so fun. I’d also love to capture an intimate wedding or elopement in Lake Como for its elegant surrounds and beautiful architecture.
