What draws you to wedding photography?

I love blending the creative and emotional facets of a wedding day, always seeking meaning and personal connections in my work. Weddings are among the most significant and heartfelt events in a person’s life. It’s an honor to preserve memories that couples can cherish for generations, witnessing the joy my work brings to them and their families.

I also value the creative freedom that wedding photography offers. As art directors in our own right, we help bring each couple’s vision to life. Every wedding is unique, presenting fresh opportunities to craft something special that reflects each couple’s diverse personalities, family bonds, personal tastes, fashion choices, and cultural traditions.

How would you describe your photography style?

Refined luxury with a candid, editorial approach. I live to capture natural, timeless, and intimate moments that evoke each couple’s unique chemistry.

What inspires you creatively?

I draw inspiration from various sources: people, places, faith, creation, travel, music, art, nature, fashion, and cultures.

I firmly believe that our environments and relationships shape our growth and define who we become. Growing up in a small coastal town in Southern California, I spent nearly every weekend at the beach, watching my dad surf and craft his own surfboards in our garage. Witnessing him immersed in his passion sparked my creativity from an early age, inspiring me to embark on my own creative journey.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel extensively and live in multiple countries. Each place has offered new lessons and experiences, deepening my appreciation for culture and art, and fueling my creativity.

What is it that makes an image magical?

When an image can transport me to another time and place, and enable me to feel the weight of the moment with all its raw emotions just as if I had been there. A photograph becomes magical when it conveys more than just a visual; it evokes all the emotions intertwined with the moment it captures.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Finding a photographer who can truly bring your wedding vision to life is invaluable. It’s essential to invest time in selecting someone whose style, personality, and vision align with yours. Remember, photography is an investment; the images captured may be the only lasting mementos of your special day. Your photographer will be by your side more than anyone else during the event, so it’s crucial to choose someone you connect with personally and trust completely. Once you’ve made your choice, fully entrust them to create the imagery you’ve envisioned.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

There are too many breathtaking venues to list. Pretty high up on the list are Amangiri in Utah, Taormina in Sicily, Montecito in California, La Badia Di Orvieto in Italy, Amanzoe in Greece, Amanfayun in Hangzhou, and Lake Como.
