About The Castle by Marlow Events

Marlow Events is a full-service catering company from The Marlow Collective: Diner, Marlow & Sons, Roman's, Achilles Heel, Marlow & Daughters, She Wolf Bakery & Stranger Wines. We offer our services in the five boroughs and beyond, traveling with our team to bring our tailored dining experience wherever you want to celebrate. For NYC-based events, The Castle in Red Hook, Brooklyn is our unique, off-the-beaten-path event space. We create custom seasonal menus for all our events using ingredients sourced exclusively from small, local farms that use sustainable and organic practices and maintain the highest standards of production. Our beverage program includes a rotating selection of all-natural & minimally processed wines to compliment the season and specialty cocktails crafted for the occasion.

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

For a full venue rental, we can host 80 guests for a seated meal or 125 guests for a cocktail-style party depending on the setup and service. For a partial venue rental (front room only), we can host 26 guests for a seated meal or 45 guests for a cocktail-style party. For a wedding, we typically recommend a full-venue rental with a ceremony in our front room, followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing.


Do you offer onsite accommodation?

The venue is at this time, an event only space.


What additional features and facilities does your property offer that couples may find useful?

The front room has our bar, perfect for a sunset cocktail hour prior to a seated dinner. The skylit main dining room features an open, marble countertop kitchen and exposed brick. We have a raised hearth fireplace perfect for warming up a fall or winter event.

In the summertime, the front room windows open up and you can find our chef grilling on the sidewalk for a sunshine-filled menu. Other features include: wood-burning fireplace, disco ball, built-in decor (our large urn is very popular for florals!) plants, some furniture provided. The rental fee also includes access to our 2nd-floor office/suite. There are full-length mirrors, two small private rooms, and a restroom for you to use. Please note that our staff will be using an area to store their personal belongings and we may need access to the office during set up.

Many of the couples who wed in our space find us through our family of local Brooklyn restaurants and share our values of sustainability and the value of a shared meal. A couple looking for something intimate, elegant, and/or rustic yet industrial.
