Based in London and travelling worldwide, Marta is available throughout the UK and for destination weddings around the globe.

During your day, her focus is on emotions running through and beautiful human connections. She doesn’t choreograph, instead - she captures and collects all the little stories, small and big moments, to then filter them all with her editorial sensitivity into a curated love story in photographs that is uniquely yours.

Behind The Brand

What draws you wedding photography?

As with most things in my life – it was an accident, a gradual one. I was doing my MA in photography and in order to fund it, I started shooting weddings, thinking that it’s just a phase, until I find my ground in the photography world. Which I did, but after years of working in the high paced fashion studios, and then slow paced still life studios (I worked in the art world, preparing my own exhibitions, but also photographing shows and artists for art galleries and catalogues), I felt that I really miss weddings. So, I started slowly again, just from time to time. It was great, but what I really wanted was to have my own, recognizable wedding photography brand. So, after having a baby in 2018 I went full time and I never looked back. I just love observing humans and love is just fascinating!

After having my own family, I grew to recognize that nothing’s more important than love. And to be there for other people, witness their love, the biggest milestone that is a wedding – I’m simply obsessed.

How would you describe your photography style?

Modern, editorial, romantic (but in a minimalistic way).

It’s difficult for me to pigeonhole myself. My approach during the wedding day is definitely documentary – I don’t choreograph a wedding; I collect the moments that are happening. I’m very focused and many times I see things, nano seconds that otherwise would be missed.

Having said that – I am hugely influenced by fashion, art and design. I look at these things all the time and quite naturally my eye focuses on these aspects and angles. I polish this even further with editing, which, unlike many photographers – I really enjoy. It’s during the editing/curating phase I try to bring back the feel of the day, the emotions that should give you goosebumps decades after.

What inspires you creatively?

I’m inspired by art. And by art, I mean fine art, cinema, photography and design. I feed on those things every day, lucky to be based in London, with all the amazing art galleries, design festivals and of course cinemas.

What is it that makes an image magical?

The light and the time. And by the time I mean – the right moment, but also the time that gives the image another layers of meaning. If there’s authenticity and connection in the image, the time will only make it better. And that’s the magic of photography in general – if it’s good, it will only get stronger and more powerful with time.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

The older I get, the more I learn to trust my gut. So that would be my advice too. Do the research first, of course, the gut needs some data to process and decide! You have to love their images, obviously! But also, the photographer will be with you the whole day, on your most important day. So, make sure you trust them and their process. Trust is a key word here, really.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

Easy. Neuendorf House in Mallorca. A minimalist, architectural work of art.
