Milla Nova is a women-led international bridal company established over two decades ago in Ukraine. From a modest atelier in Lviv, the company has grown into a globally recognized brand represented in more than 60 countries worldwide. The brand is known for its bold ensembles, striking embellishments, daring slits, and versatile transformer designs, all while maintaining timeless elegance and a touch of grandeur. Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning the brand?

Milla Nova was founded by two sisters, Zoryana and Iryna Senyshyn, back in the early 2000s. The true inspiration behind our business was the desire to make every bride feel completely special and unique on one of the most important days of her life. And, of course, the ambition to make it global.

What inspires you creatively?

We try to find inspiration in little details and then bring it into a new collection. We draw inspiration from our team, family, art, cinema, trendsetters, global changes, traveling, and more. But above all, our brides and their unique lifestyles are our greatest source of inspiration.

A favorite quote or piece of advice that inspires your creative work?

The devil is in the details. We’ve embraced a handcrafted approach that demands precision and patience, dedicating countless hours to every creation. For example, each appliqué takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete, and a single dress can feature up to 100 appliqués, each with its own level of complexity.

What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?

We believe comfort is one of the top priorities, as the bride will wear the dress all day, setting the dance floor on fire and enjoying every moment of the celebration with complete confidence.

Typically, it is recommended to consider the silhouette following body type to accentuate curves favorably. However, this is not a must-have requirement. At Milla Nova, we believe that every figure is unique and deserves its moment in the spotlight. Therefore, choosing the perfect dress should be a heartfelt decision.

We truly believe the bride knows best, so we encourage her to follow her heart, embrace her desires and dreams, and ignore outside opinions. It’s her special day, and she deserves to make it her own.

How do you determine which dress is the one?

Trust us, you will instinctively know the moment you try on the right one.

What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?

Re-thinking vintage through a modern lens. Less overly conventional styles that lack personality and more individuality in bridal designs that reflect the bride’s unique story.
