Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography and videography?

We have both done a lot of different niches of photography and videography before finding weddings, from photojournalism to commercial to fashion to family portraiture. But within a wedding day you will find every other element of different photography and cinematography niches. One thing we came to realize is that weddings are a pinnacle of storytelling, and this is what drew us to weddings.

We love being able to curate a wedding day so when you look at your images or watch your film it’s like a cinematic memory coming to life.

How would you describe your photography and cinematography style?

Our style focuses on comfort and authenticity – we take a documentary approach throughout the wedding day, but when it comes to portraits, it’s about finding the balance between guiding couples to express themselves authentically and taking a step back to observe and document them as if we’re not there. How much guidance we provide is very individual to each couple. Often, we would bring the subject into the best light or setting and then let their personalities and relationship shine-through to be able to capture that authentic expression and emotion. We photograph everything from an editorial perspective, always looking for those angles and narratives that will best capture the feeling of the day and the couple’s story. Our cinematography style is a curation of the wedding day’s best moments, displaying the day’s essence with a blend of cinematic and documentary visuals.

What inspires you creatively?

Our creativity is driven by the blend of elements that define a wedding, very similar to what drew us to weddings in the first place. The architectural beauty of the venue, the delicate details, people embracing each other and families coming together, are just a few of the things that we get inspired with on the day of the wedding. When we are not shooting weddings, we also find inspiration in other creative endeavors, for Mitch it’s nature documentaries and travel, for Tijana it’s fashion and music.

What is it that makes an image magical?

For us an image is magical when it evokes a feeling or memory of that moment in the viewer, if it can do that it means the image is timeless.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Do your research and find a photographer and videographer whose work you love and whose photographs you can see your selves in, as their work will be with you for the rest of your life. Trust is a big component, you need to be able to trust your photographer so that you can live in the moment, which in turn enables your photographer to capture all those special moments between you and your loved ones.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

Anywhere where history meets luxury, such as Mamula island in Montenegro or Duomo di Milano.
