Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?

Monserate Winery was born from a deep desire to preserve the natural beauty and charm of Gird Valley. For 56 years, the 116-acre property served as a beloved public golf course, graced by century-old oak trees and towering sycamores. When the course fell on hard times and closed, we saw an opportunity to not only restore the land but to create a place that would uplift the community and become a destination for celebrations. Since 2016, we’ve worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life. Today, Monserate Winery showcases stunning vineyards, serene lakes, and breathtaking landscapes—an idyllic setting for weddings, something we’ve always dreamed of hosting.

What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?

Whether it’s the Tuscan Estate, Villa de Fiore, or the Vineyard Hideaway, each venue’s breathtaking beauty will leave you in awe. The venues are designed with authentic Italian architecture, beautiful water features, their own getting ready suites for the morning of the big day, and so much more. With their fully customizable catering and bar packages, you have the freedom to create a menu that perfectly captures your culinary vision, ensuring every detail of your special day is tailored to your taste and style.

How many guests can you cater for?

We can host weddings for up to 250 guests.

What advice can you give couples when selecting their venue?

When couples are choosing their venue, we always encourage them to select the one that gives them what we call the “glow effect.” So often, as we guide couples through our venues, we see their faces light up with that unmistakable look that says, “This is it. This is what I’ve been dreaming of.” Choose the venue that makes you glow, and everything else will fall perfectly into place!
