About Mount Ophir Estate

Mount Ophir Estate is a unique and exclusive property in the rural district of Rutherglen in northern Victoria, Australia.

Mount Ophir Estate was established in 1891 by Eisemann and Gleeson as a farm and vineyard. The Burgoyne family, the owners of Mount Ophir Estate from 1903, were prominent London wine merchants who developed the property further by constructing a French provincial tower (a nod to their heritage) and a winemaking facility.

Mount Ophir Estate’s philosophy is to be gentle on the environment and look after the earth.

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Mount Ophir Estate is a bespoke private venue that allows you to create your dream event. ‘Celebration Lake’ provides an enchanted space for your ceremony, or choose from a range of locations around the Estate. The main winery building houses six main halls on two levels which can accommodate from 60 to 450 people
or multiple events in separate rooms.

How many people can each of these cater for?

Pending your layout and catering style, Mount Ophir can cater for up to 450 cocktail-style.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

We offer six unique accommodation offerings in a pristine country environment. From couples to cottages that sleep up to twenty guests comfortably. Perfect spaces for family, friends, or corporates.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

We can also offer the services of event professionals who can bring your vision to life including caterers, beverage suppliers, event planners, coordinators, stylists, florists, stylish furniture, and security guards.
