About Mount Ophir Estate

Mount Ophir Estate is a unique and exclusive property in the rural district of Rutherglen in northern Victoria, Australia.

Mount Ophir Estate was established in 1891 by Eisemann and Gleeson as a farm and vineyard. The Burgoyne family, the owners of Mount Ophir Estate from 1903, were prominent London wine merchants who developed the property further by constructing a French provincial tower (a nod to their heritage) and a winemaking facility.

Mount Ophir Estate’s philosophy is to be gentle on the environment and look after the earth.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love it…

A bespoke property set in regional Victoria, founded on the heritage of estate vineyards, Mount Ophir combines modern accommodation with warm hospitality and a blank canvas to create your dream escape.

For the couple…

Looking to embrace clear skies and wide-open spaces to create a celebration away from city distractions.

Styling tips…

Opt for a touch of new bohemian spirit with minimalist intent. Hang billowing linens from the ceiling creating a canopy with a raw and exotic mood, opt for vases with an aged brass patina and set a tone of romance for the reception with flickering candlelight down the center of your tables once the sun shifts below the horizon.
