Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

I fell in love with wedding photography over 13 years ago while planning my own wedding. At the time of my own wedding, I was a fashion and landscape photographer. I discovered that with wedding photography, I could incorporate my love for fashion and landscapes into a captivating blend of emotions, storytelling, and artistic expression. This personal connection to the profound emotions and significance of the wedding day fuels my passion for capturing these moments. The opportunity to document and celebrate one of the most significant days in a couple’s life is incredibly rewarding. The unique moments, genuine emotions, and the chance to create timeless memories for couples are what draw me to wedding photography.

How would you describe your photography style?

My photography style is a blend of contemporary editorial and fine art documentary. I aim to capture beauty, the authenticity of the moment and how it felt throughout most of the day without being noticed. At all times I always attention to light, fine details and flattering angles. Whether it’s through candid moments, intricate details, or creatively composed portraits, my goal is to tell a compelling visual story that reflects the couple’s personality and the atmosphere of their special day.

What inspires you creatively?

I find inspiration in various aspects of life, including architecture, design, art, fashion, travel, and nature. The interplay of light and shadow, unique locations, and the couple’s individual style all contribute to my creative process. Exploring new perspectives and pushing the boundaries of traditional wedding photography constantly fuel my creativity.

What is it that makes an image magical?

A magical image, to me, goes beyond technical excellence. It’s about capturing a genuine emotion, a fleeting moment, or a unique perspective that evokes a strong emotional response. The magic lies in the ability of the image to transport viewers back to the essence of the moment and make them feel the emotions captured in that frame.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Choosing a wedding photographer is a crucial decision and investment. I would advise couples to look for a photographer whose style resonates with them and aligns with their vision for the day. Communication is key – make sure the photographer understands your preferences and is receptive to your ideas. Additionally, reviewing a photographer’s portfolio, checking references, and ensuring a good personality fit are essential steps in the selection process.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

As someone with a deep appreciation for architecture and nature, my dream location would be a picturesque destination that seamlessly blends both elements. Imagine a wedding set against the backdrop of a UNESCO World Heritage site, historic castle, or an enchanting natural landscape. Such a setting would provide endless opportunities for creating visually stunning and emotionally charged images.
