About NeroFiore dallemiemani di Barbara Becarelli

Nerofiore is a floral design studio owned by Barbara Becarelli, located amidst the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Trained as a fine watercolorist, Barbara has developed a vision for installations that create symphonies of colors, volumes, and shapes. She loves to create arrangements that echo the natural environment in which the flowers are grown and the settings they will adorn. For this reason, Barbara excels in creating installations "at home" at her partner location, Villa Montecastello, where she resides with her family and her beloved horses and animals, who seem to magically participate in her creations.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

During her artistic studies, the works of art of the Gothic Courtly were of great interest. Those scenes depicting characters surrounded and immersed in meadows full of flowers became a wonderful inspiration. Since 2010, these scenes have led Barbara to want to reproduce simple and natural floral settings, incredibly detailed, for ceremonies or tables for her customers.

What services do you offer couples?

Artistic floral decoration services for couples who wish to celebrate, and above all decorate, their big day in a unique, intimate way. The NeroFiore studio by Barbara offers custom-designed events focusing on the seasonality of colors and shapes. Barbara creates unique projects and uses her passion for watercolors to provide clear images during event estimates, helping her clients envision the event before it takes place.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Barbara’s aesthetic sense is closely linked to the overall vision, always in tune with the environment, nature, and the season. Each setting is designed to enhance not only the beauty and uniqueness of the moment but also to embrace the rare and the wild. Every branch has its own beauty, whether purchased from the local flower farm or gathered in the wild forest near her studio or in the open field. Each element is precious in its uniqueness, treating individual flowers and natural elements as original and unrepeatable works of art.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Rich craftsmanship intertwined with the bucolic beauty of a location.

What would you like to see less of?

Less commercial flowers, less plastic, no floral foam.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Barbara advises future couples to rely on creative consultants for a winning combination of experience and an expert eye. Rely on those artists who have been seduced by nature through their sensitivity to express genuine emotions.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love her…

Influenced by her background as a trained watercolorist, all of Barbara’s arrangements play with texture and tone, falling and rising in sinuous shapes that alter the atmosphere and endlessly woo us.

For the couple…

Looking for florals that defy tradition and gravity with their playful palettes and poetic installation. All of Barbara’s arrangements are rich with narrative, evoking a feeling of connection that only natural beauty can.
