Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
Growing up, I always had an interest in art and good food. If I wasn’t in the kitchen experimenting with recipes and techniques, I was drawing or painting. After high school, I went on to study patisserie and then eventually found my way to cake design. I quickly realised making cakes was the perfect balance of my two interests – it enabled me to experiment with various flavours and textures and create art at the same time.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
I like to think of my cakes as graceful, modern and interesting.
What are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
Brides, grooms and event designers who aren’t afraid to step outside current trends and try something unusual. I also love to see inspiration being drawn from various other platforms outside of the events industry, such as architecture, fashion, art – the list goes on.
A planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Your wedding should always be a reflection of who you are and what you love. It is important to choose your vendors accordingly. The process will be a lot less stressful when you are in the hands of suppliers you trust and are enjoyable to work with.
Tell us about your ordering process and what couples should know beforehand.
All cakes are custom made to suit each event, so we do not have a set price list. Currently we ask all enquiries to be made via email. Once the order is confirmed, we will work together to design something unique and beautiful for your celebration.
