We work with all types of men and women to bring a luxuriously relaxed Australian sense of style to life. Whatever you imagine, we can create it – that’s the beauty of our made-to-measure service. Our team of expert fitters are experienced and knowledgeable, ready to offer advice that makes everyone feel their best on their wedding day.

Do you offer a custom tailoring service? If so, how long does it take to make a custom-tailored piece?

Our made-to-measure service is an easy (and fun) three-stage process – you’ll enjoy it, we promise. From the first appointment to the final fitting, the process takes roughly seven to nine weeks. If you’re under the pump, we can also arrange fast-tracked construction and reduce the turnaround to six weeks.

With wedding suits, just like everything wedding-related, it’s best to get stuck into planning as soon as you can. It’ll be one less thing to worry about ahead of the big day.

What advice do you have for grooms looking to have a suit tailored?

We find it’s helpful for grooms to keep a few elements in mind when creating their suit: the weather and setting, what their partner will be wearing and most importantly, their personal style. It’s your big day, you should wear a suit that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

It’s fun to dress up for your special day, but that shouldn’t mean you have to sacrifice who you are. After all, the beauty of made-to-measure clothing is that it’s fully customisable based on your preferences.

What is your most popular style for grooms and groomsmen?

Black-tie weddings are having a moment right now, with black tuxedos and black single-breasted suits being popular options. On the other end of the spectrum, we’re also seeing a lot of beautiful beige linen suits for a more relaxed, Mediterranean vibe. But remember, what’s popular might not be the best option for you – trust your own instincts.

What advice do you give to men to care for their suit?

You should only dry clean your suit when it really needs it. Otherwise, simply spot-clean any small blemishes with a damp cloth. If your suit is looking a little tired, a simple press might be the answer. Come see us at your nearest Oscar Hunt showroom and we can sort it out for you. We also always recommend a second pair of trousers so you can rotate them and make your entire suit last longer.
