About Parihoa Farm

Parihoa offers a wedding adventure you won’t forget – let your imagination run wild with dramatic views of the wild west coast amidst clifftops, rolling hills, wetlands and a rugged farmscape.

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Currently mid-construction, we are creating event spaces to cater to larger crowds.

The Barn, a 21 x 9-meter event space will feature beautiful joinery and stunning views over both the farm and the Tasman Sea – the perfect blank canvas event space. The Barn is due to be completed mid-September 2020 and can cater for up to 100 x guests.

The Jewel Box, is a Patterson architecture designed cantilevering event space on the southern end of Chapman House. The Jewel Box is due for completion mid-March 2021 and can cater for up to 80 x guests.

If couples are looking for a rustic option, Parihoa has a working woolshed with exposed beams, walls and historic features – a truly unique character and can cater up to 100 x guests.

Please note, marquees are not an option for this property. Chapman House is available for events, however, as a residential house, can only cater for a maximum of 40 guests.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Yes, Chapman House and The Gatehouse are options for onsite accommodation.

Chapman House

The cornerstone of Parihoa Farm is the Andrew Patterson-designed Chapman House. The home is a contradiction – an uber-modern fortress juxtaposed against the stark, windswept landscape.

Bordering on the Hillary Trail this uber-modern 641 square meter home is positioned 150m above the crashing waves of the West Coast Tasman Sea.

The Gatehouse

Parihoa Gatehouse is alongside the well known Parihoa Farm on Constable Road.

The Gatehouse is a sunny and peaceful venue, surrounded by lush gardens and boasting expansive views out over the ocean and Muriwai Beach.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

Parihoa Farm is like no other place on earth. A working farm of 600 acres, the land borders the Tasman Sea and iconic Te Henga walkway and features rolling hills, native bush, and dramatic wetlands. The stunning views from the Clifftops are a particularly stunning shot for couples on their special day.

What type of couple would fall in love with your venue and why?

Lovers of the ocean and nature – Parihoa Farm occupies 4km of coastal frontage, high on the cliffs, overlooking the Tasman Sea.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love it…

The perfect blend of ocean and nature – a modern farm by the sea. Only a short drive from Auckland’s town center, you’ll find this dreamy, secluded venue, surrounded by 600 acres of wild wetlands, rugged scenery, and equally stunning interiors.

For the couple…

Parihoa Farm offers unparalleled views, refined architectural details, and both modern and rustic options for your event. It is the perfect choice for couples looking for a unique space that offers both nature and sophisticated styling.

Styling tips…

Plan a clifftop ceremony to soak in the incredible views and sunset drinks by the pool at Chapman house. For a modern, chic reception, host your guests at the newly built Jewel box to feel as if you’re floating above the Parihoa cliff tops. Fill the space with candlelight to add to the moody and romantic atmosphere and complement the dark interiors of this inimitable venue with a palette of deep red, berry-toned florals.
