Pete, originally from Oslo, Norway, however, he has been lucky enough to call the Northern Beaches in Sydney home for the last 18 years. He is a chilled out person with an eye for honesty and he loves people.  Loves shooting, loves searching, and love finding the real, honest, full moment in photos.

Whether it’s in fashion, advertising, or weddings.  It’s all about believability and honesty AND heart for Pete. He is naturally drawn to those moments that are filled with life. Moments that are pure and can’t always be expressed. Photography for Pete is about the people in front of his lens and capturing them in the most personal/ honest way. That's what he is about. His work is massively inspired by people and moments.

He has been shooting fashion advertising for the last 12 years, working for clients such as Coca-Cola, Sheridan, and Bo and Luca to name a few. The work he has done in the past strongly shows the energy of the amazing people he has worked with. He would love nothing more than to be there and capture some of the best moments of your life.

How would you describe your photography style?

Honest, full of character and natural beauty.

What is it that makes an image magical?

Completely uninterrupted moments.

What advice would you give to the camera-shy couple?

You don’t have to be anything in front of the camera but you. There are so many beautiful things about a couple who really love each other.

Do you travel interstate or internationally?

Yeah, I am Norwegian born so I’m used to really long flights!

As an estimate, how long does your editing process take?

A week for the sneaky sneak peek, then approximately 4-6 weeks to complete turnover.

Describe a magical moment from a wedding you’ve photographed…

Flying over to my homeland shooting on a wooden boat in the middle of the fjords.

Styling tips…

Once the sun slips beneath the horizon, wedding photography can get a whole lot more challenging for many artists to keep the magic flowing. However, Pete has an incredible ability to distil a wedding’s dreamy ambience after dark, just as strongly as he does so during the day. Make the most of this and light your reception in an abundance of luminous detail – think canopies of fairy lights or festoon lanterns strung above the dancefloor or from trees encircling the venue. Dress tablescapes with glinting candles that flicker warm light across the space, illuminating the festivities.
