About Pia & Jade
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We are so excited and honoured to play a part in your love story and help to create one of the most important days of your life through the beauty of flowers, ambient candle light and considered styling choices.
Running wild with ideas and inspiration, we work together with you to create a cohesive, carefully considered and perfectly executed floral and styling design concept, that seamlessly aligns with other key elements such as the venue, stationery and attire.
Our passion for aesthetics, human connection and eye for detail means you are in personable, reliable and experienced hands to ensure your day is one of those special, stand out moments in life, that family and friends remember fondly and talk about for years to come.
We believe weddings are more than just “one day”. They are precious memories, cherished moments and extraordinary love stories to pass down for generations. To play a part in such a momentous occasion, is a privilege. To create using the best seasonal blooms and bring to life the magic our couples have dreamed of, is an honour.
We can’t wait to create with you soon!
Behind The Brand
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
The business came about after I graduated from an Interior Architecture degree and wanted something more hands on. It was around the time weddings shifted from a function center to more of a weekend, private property style and there were so many venues popping up on the South Coast.
I am not officially trained in floristry, I have learnt from peers and made it up as I have gone. I think my architecture background helps me to understand size, scale and proportion, looking at the way the flower/branch/stem wants to stand/fall, as well as the basics; colour theory and elements and principles of design. I think I look at design and flowers different to how a traditionally trained florist would and this is what sets me apart.
What services do you offer couples?
Floristry – ceremony, reception, bouquets, large scale installations
Styling – table ware, candles, lighting, linens, structures, backdrops
Stationery – signage, seating charts, menus, place cards
I have a high level of attention to detail and like to make sure everything is cohesive, so if a client is needing to create a wedding from scratch and hire in everything (marquee, furniture, table ware) we like to help them in sourcing these items and deciding what to choose to bring their vision to life. We will even recommend other vendors in the industry; photographers, catering, musicians, etc. to make their planning journey as easy as possible and bring their vision to life.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
Considered, feminine, clean, sculptural, and seasonal.
As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
Ribbons, food as art, florals arranged as sculptures, en masse candles, raw/unedited film photography.
What would you like to see less of?
Bonbonnieres, garter toss, bridesmaids wearing the same dress.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Don’t pay attention to trends or think you need to stick to white and green because “it won’t date”. Do what best reflects you both as a couple. Things like your favourite flower, candle scent, song, food or cocktail will have you reminiscing your special day for years to come and your guests will see your love shining through all the details of the day.
