Welcome to Poets Lodge, an extraordinary escape to luxury accommodation in country Victoria. This is a magical place, it is both home and haven, a place to breathe and witness the change of seasons, a place to simply enjoy each other’s company.

Poets Lodge is a unique hameau, a blend of contemporary and colonial past, where modern living and heritage are seamlessly blended. We are located in the heart of Daylesford, only a few minutes walk to everything. Poets Lodge comprises three separate accommodation offerings.

Poets Lodge is a truly divine private home for engagement parties, intimate weddings, and unique special events. 

Behind The Brand

What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Poets Lodge is available as a whole venue for a weekend celebration, combining an intimate courtyard perfect for nuptials and your reception and accommodation to stay and enjoy time with your guests.

The venue also makes for the perfect getaway destination engagement party with family and friends or as a honeymoon retreat.

How many people can each of these cater for?

We cater for small intimate weddings up to 40 people. If you have always wanted to have an intimate wedding in a setting that feels like a beautiful family home, then Poets Lodge is the perfect venue.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

Yes, we have onsite accommodation for 12 people. We can work with other offsite properties to accommodate further guests.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

Our property boasts a hand-built wood-fired oven, perfect for country dining. We have a long pebbled courtyard with fine country outdoor tables that sit under a canopy of mature trees. Magical outdoor fairy lights and late afternoon sun create the most unique and dreamy venue. If the weather is not so perfect we bring in long white marquees.

What type of couple would fall in love with your venue and why?

Couples who fall in love with the place, are couples who love country luxe, couples who want their wedding to be an intimate family affair. The very beautiful outdoor courtyard which is nestled between our cottages is often compared to a courtyard in Provence, France set with white table cloths, silver candelabras, and delicious homemade country food. Couples who come here for romantic weekends are couples who love simple elegance, and nature at its best.

Personalize your evening starting with your own signature cocktails, ending the celebration slow dancing under the stars to a playlist your guests each contribute to.
