Behind The Brand Interview
What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?
It all started with a burning curiosity and a strong desire to carve out my own path in life. Growing up, I was surrounded by family and friends who knew how to celebrate life’s moments, big and small. Their joyous gatherings always filled me with happiness. Now, I’m on a mission to bring people together and revive that same spirit of celebration. But my journey wasn’t without its bumps. It began with a longing to explore my creative side. I realized that creativity alone wouldn’t be enough, so I decided to pursue a degree in Hospitality & Event Management. Those years were transformative. I discovered a mix of interests and skills I didn’t know I had. I volunteered and worked at all sorts of events, from corporate functions to thrilling sports tournaments.
What services do you offer couples?
We offer full service wedding planning and bespoke wedding styling and design services.
How would you describe your aesthetic?
We strongly believe that crafting a personalized aesthetic for every wedding client is crucial, as it beautifully narrates the unique story of each couple. Though whether the couple prefers sleek lines and neutral tones or bright and boisterous spaces, we aim to keep the aesthetic elegant, thoughtful and authentic.
As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?
I am currently inspired by the growing trend of incorporating sustainable and eco-friendly elements into weddings. This includes everything from using locally sourced flowers and organic catering to reducing waste through thoughtful planning and design choices. I find it incredibly inspiring to see couples prioritizing environmental consciousness while still creating luxurious and unforgettable wedding experiences. Additionally, I’m drawn to the resurgence of timeless elegance and classic sophistication in wedding design, with a modern twist. This blend of tradition and contemporary flair allows for the creation of truly breathtaking and memorable celebrations that reflect the unique personalities of each couple.
What would you like to see less of?
I would like to see less pressure on couples to adhere to rigid traditions or societal expectations that may not resonate with their personal values or preferences. Instead, I encourage couples to feel empowered to create weddings that truly reflect who they are as individuals and as a couple, regardless of convention. Ultimately, I believe that weddings should be a celebration of love, connection, and personal expression, rather than simply a display of wealth or status.
A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?
Prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to wedding decor and details. Rather than overwhelming your venue with numerous decorations, focus on selecting a few key elements that make a significant impact and reflect your unique style and vision. This allows for a more cohesive and elegant aesthetic, creating a truly memorable atmosphere for you and your guests. Another important tip is to invest in professional vendors who align with your vision and values. From photographers and florists to caterers and musicians, choosing experienced and reputable professionals can make a world of difference in the outcome of your wedding day. Don’t hesitate to communicate your expectations clearly and collaborate closely with your vendors to ensure that every aspect of your wedding reflects your vision and exceeds your expectations.
