Emerging floral designer, Laura Berger created Solasta Blooms in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches to bring flower magic to life for all romantics. She discovers what truly lights up a couple and lets nature and the seasons shine on their wedding day.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

The word Solasta means shining bright or luminous. This word resonates with Laura the founder of Solasta Blooms, as it is a Scottish word. Living in Scotland in my early 20s I connected the dots to becoming a florist, and have never turned back since. A true love for flowers, has always been ready to bloom looking back. Upon arriving back home in Sydney I pursued my studies at Flower school and have been in the industry for 7+ years.

Flowers bring so much happiness, connection and contentment in the community and we love being a part of this.

What services do you offer couples?

We offer a high end experience booking your wedding flowers. We know how special this time is planning your wedding, because of this we love to chat all things flora with you and unpack ideas together that light you up as a couple, that then later come to life on your milestone day. We also offer some styling elements to enhance your dream floral masterpieces.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Boutique, curated, seasonal, intentional, abundant.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Each wedding is always so uniquely beautiful and no two weddings are the same. I am inspired by the seasons that are ever changing and our beautiful couples that we meet and get to know whilst in the planning process. All nature’s elements that elevate your day generally have so much meaning behind them and even sentimental meaning for some.

What do you want to see less?

When it comes to flowers, what’s not to love!

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Find what lights you up as a couple and in your love story, favorite flowers, colors, an overall theme and the rest will all fall into place. Trusting your vendors is when the magic truly unfolds.

Founder Laura uses nature’s palette to create bespoke and versatile wedding florals with a unique touch. She has traveled across Europe, giving her an adaptive style. Drawing from her international experience, Laura takes floral arranging to new heights, often crafting works of art and sculptural bouquets for her clients’ big days!

With a diverse portfolio of traditional and modernist designs, Laura has abundant experience that can fit any style, theme, and destination.
