Stafford Creative + Co. (formerly Lea Stafford Events) is an event production, design, and lifestyle brand based in the San Francisco Bay Area, established in 2012. At the helm, Stafford, a visionary entrepreneur dedicated to promoting representation and conscious living, creates global, soulful events that promote a welcoming environment for all, strengthening the community. With nuance and purpose, SCCo focuses on the seamless extension of lifestyle, skillfully blending subtlety with boldness to create personal experiences for clients and brands highlighting togetherness, mindfulness, and culture. 

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

Embracing difference and using it as a means to convey the tone of an event is where the brand began to build from. This is the same approach Stafford practiced during her time in the interior design industry. Welcoming the world of hospitality in 2008 through fine dining, she began to practice this again, creating the visual, physical, and emotional presence of a mood became a welcomed challenge for each event. Establishing a brand flexible enough to handle this approach was a natural step – it provides the freedom needed.

What services do you offer couples?

Full service event production and design services.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We have a polished and minimal approach to design – we like to balance clean elements with both texture and audacious nuance. You will also find a touch of appropriately placed imperfection throughout, all while highlighting natural and organic elements whenever possible.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

We remain inspired by music, film, interiors and fine dining. Non-event related experiences and design, as well as emotion are typically our influencers.

What would you like to see less of?

A rinse and repeat approach. We believe spending more time with your clients will lead to some truly tailored and amazing experiences yielding a more diverse breadth of inspiration for others.

Lean into different, and take the risk. Create the concept and identify the best partners to assist with the successful execution.
