Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning the brand?

Our story is a very personal one. Our CEO, Nikolay, was looking for a ring for his then-girlfriend, now wife. He wanted something entirely one of a kind, just like his partner, Vaivara. After a lot of careful sourcing, sketching, and plenty of secret meetings, our first bespoke ring was created – beautifully unique and deeply personal.

From there, a dream shared by two friends took shape: to put the magic back into bespoke jewelry. Over the years, Taylor & Hart has expanded across the world into a lively and devoted team of creative thinkers. We’ve grown, but we’ve never let go of our commitment to offering a heartfelt, hands-on approach to engagement ring design. We want to capture real stories in every piece we craft.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Our aesthetic takes a 360-degree approach. We obviously want the piece to look amazing, but we apply extra care and attention to detail to make sure each design looks incredible from every angle. Whether you’re glancing at your ring while typing an email or showing it off to your loved ones, those little details ensure it’s a masterpiece from every perspective.

What inspires you creatively?

We love hearing about what’s important to our customers – their romantic stories and the excitement in their eyes. Whenever we get tagged in a proposal post or receive lovely messages from happy couples, it inspires us to dream up even more extraordinary designs.

What advice can you give to couples when shopping for their engagement ring?

Do it on your own terms. The way people shop for engagement rings has shifted a lot in the last decade. Gone are the days of proposals shrouded in secrecy and the pressure of spending three months’ salary. More and more couples are embarking on the journey together, empowering themselves to make informed decisions. Lean into that sentiment – focus on what makes the ring meaningful and unique rather than seeing it as a status symbol.

What would you like to see less of in your industry?

We’re all about transparency. Whether it’s about budgets, sourcing, or design limitations, it’s always important that the customer gets the full story. Unfortunately, some businesses aren’t as forthcoming.

What are you drawn to in wedding jewelry right now?

We’re drawn to self-expression and personalization – it’s why we do what we do. People are moving away from cookie-cutter designs and traditional proposals. Couples are even coming in together to design their rings, skipping the surprise element altogether.

From small customizations like engravings or special signature stones to designs inspired by a romantic trip or milestone moment, we bring it all to life. That’s what makes our rings so extraordinary – they tell a story as unique as the couple themselves.
