Nestled within relaxed palm-filled grounds, the property features accommodation styles for all experiences with a range of room sizes and whole-house offerings. Hotel amenities include the award-winning, perfectly circular magnesium pool, The Bower Garden Bar and the recently opened Hotel Spa.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for the property and how did it all begin?

The property was inspired by the laidback barefoot ambiance of Byron Bay with the discreet and effortless elegance of Manhattan’s Bowery neighbourhood. Rooms are bespoke yet balanced through a mix of textures and tones – wood, metals, textiles, plush velvets and linens. It is really a mix of traditional styling with some fun elements!

What spaces do you offer for a wedding or event?

The Bower is the perfect accommodation for any Byron Bay wedding. There are 17 rooms in total plus The House (sleeps 8), The Cottage (sleeps 10) and The Barn (sleeps 2).

The Cottage and House are both large enough to host families, grooms or bridal parties. The Barn and Bower Studios are wonderful for honeymooners. We’re also a relaxing spot for hens parties to pamper, primp and lap up the gorgeous Byron Bay weather in the lead up to the big day.

In the past, we’ve also held micro weddings in both The Cottage and The Barn.

What is it that makes your property magic?

First of all, the location! The Bower is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay, known for its stunning beaches, lush rainforests, and laid-back atmosphere. The natural beauty of the surroundings creates a serenity contributing to the overall magical experience. The hotel itself is just a short walk from Byron’s main hub!

Secondly we have a variety of accommodation offerings to suit every occasion, including cottages, suites, and studios. Each accommodation is thoughtfully decorated with a blend of modern and eclectic elements, creating a coastal yet cozy ambiance. The attention to detail in the interior design, along with luxurious amenities only add to the experience.

Here at The Bower we provide a sense of tranquility and privacy, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lush subtropical gardens surrounding the accommodations create a secluded and peaceful environment, allowing guests to relax and unwind.

Additionally, we are committed to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. We strive to minimize our environmental impact by using recycled materials, installing solar power systems, and implementing water conservation measures. This commitment to the environment allows guests to connect with nature and further appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

Finally, the circular swimming pool, framed by low-hanging palm trees and lush tropical plants is hands down one of the most relaxing experiences. Here you can soothe sore muscles in the magnesium pool while indulging in a cocktail (or two) from The Bower’s Garden Bar. And if that wasn’t enough their team of expert therapists at The Bower Hotel Spa offer a range of relaxation treatments for the face and body.

What advice can you give couples when selecting their venue?

Start early: Begin your search for wedding accommodation well in advance to ensure you have enough options to choose from. This is particularly important during peak seasons in a busy holiday town like Byron Bay!

Consider the location: Choose a location that is convenient for both you and your guests. Consider factors like proximity to the wedding venue, accessibility, and nearby amenities.

It’s all about the lighting: this one is more for the brides. When getting ready it’s really important to have an abundance of natural light for both the application from your make up artists, as well as for you to check your make up prior to walking down the aisle. You also 100% need air-conditioning for Byron Bay!

It’s also all about the backdrop: ensure that wherever you’re getting ready for the big day has some key photo spots for you and your bridal party. Mix it up with luxury interior design, beautiful tended gardens!
