Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

The Eventeur was born out of necessity. In 2011, when destination weddings were not as prevalent as they are today, Mahla worked in both the travel and wedding industries simultaneously. She soon realized that no firm offered comprehensive management of destination weddings with a full team’s support on all aspects. We firmly believe that planning only the wedding day of a destination wedding is incomplete; many elements including guest management tie the entire weekend together. Over a decade later, we remain true to our philosophy and have yet to plan a “local wedding”. We live and breathe destination events!

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Effortless lush and always complimentary to the destination itself.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

We are both excited and inspired by the emerging trend of daytime weddings, simple and wholesome confections over delicacies and a minimalistic approach to entertainment.

What would you like to see less of?

Non-destination appropriate elements such as an ‘old-fashioned’ cocktail on the beach.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Keep guests comfort in mind every step of the way. I know it sounds cliché but it is easy to push it back on list of priorities in the midst of planning aesthetics.
