Led by Annie Goldie, The Refined Bloom co is focused on showcasing seasonal flowers, singular designs and pulling from our 9+ years of extensive knowledge and experience in the industry. Annie’s passion for flowers has taken an additional path, now growing hand selected specialty blooms for The Refined Bloom co, continually striving to make every wedding one-of-a-kind.

Behind The Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

I have always been designing and creating, and after studying both visual merchandising and floristry, working in weddings felt like the perfect fit. In the beginning the business was split between weddings and retail floristry, until I took the plunge into wedding full time. I was drawn to how different every wedding was from the next, and being able to work closely with our couples to bring to life a floral concept that is theirs, and theirs alone.

What services do you offer couples?

We offer full floral design services, working closely with our couples to bring their floral vision to life, whilst paying homage to seasonal availability. We also grow some of our own flowers, selecting a range of niche and ethereal blooms that we grow and harvest specifically for our couples.

How would you describe your aesthetic?

Effortless, delicate and personal. We love to marry our style with our couple’s own personal style, working with the natural shape and flow of every stem that passes through our hands, rather than trying to manipulate them.

As a florist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Unique and intricate tablescapes, personalised dining ware, artfully designed fabric draping, all red florals.

What would you like to see less of?

The fear of your wedding becoming ‘dated’. Personal style never dates.

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Continually communicate with each other to ensure that every decision is a reflection of you both, that brings you a sense of joy and excitement. Planning a wedding should be so much fun, so make sure you are aligning with vendors, and choices that allow that to happen.
