Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

Many things, but my favourite is unquestionably seeing the dress for the first time, how it moves and observing how the light interacts with it throughout the day. Portraits have always been a passion of mine – so I always make time for these at a wedding. Some of my most common feedback is my disarming nature which plays a large part in my portraits to help my subjects feel at ease and free to be their true selves.

I also appreciated femininity and modern dance throughout my Fine Art degree and I’ve found this pairs wonderfully with weddings, elopements and editorials. It’s meant I can explore new ways of capturing a wedding which has developed my distinct way of telling my couples’ story.

How would you describe your photography style?

Impactful, emotive and immersive.

What inspires you creatively?

This may sound cliché but I am still to this day inspired by my favourite artists. Especially French Impressionists – Edgar Degas, his dancer series is so moving to me as dance was such a huge part of my life growing up.

I also adore love and romance. I’m inspired by each unique connection between my couples which encourages me to convey that feeling within their photos and throughout their gallery. I truly feel my inspiration stems from what gives me the most joy in my job – which is creating beauty from everyday things and having the artistic freedom to do so in my own unique way.

I feel so lucky and honoured to call this my job.

What is it that makes an image magical?

When the viewer can feel or be inspired by an image and its depth.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Find someone who is completely devoted to their work and is determined to put you at ease while getting your picture taken.

I can’t express enough though, how much of a big deal it is to choose the right photographer for you. Make the investment – you’ll be spending many hours with them for one of the biggest days of your life. If you can, follow them on Instagram, get to know what their personality is like, really hone in on how their work makes you feel.

Your wedding photographer will be documenting one of the best days of your lives for you to look back on for years to come. For me, my ideal client is one who has chosen me for what I can bring to the day and resonates with my style of work.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

I’m continuously drawn to simplistic earthy locations with minimal fuss. Anything which will draw the attention to the couple or subject, allows me to get creative and enables me to play with light and contrast.

A wedding in Marrakech would be a dream, so much uniqueness.
