Behind The Brand

What was the spark for Twelve Tables? Where did your story begin?

We began Twelve Tables in 2015, in the midst of planning our own wedding. We couldn’t find furniture items that we loved, so Jean (husband and co-owner) decided to build every piece of our wedding furniture. Fast forward four years and 400+ celebrations later, Twelve Tables are New Zealand’s tailored event experts. Our experience and creativity lead to events as bespoke as they are special.

What styles and aesthetics are you loving right now?

I’m still obsessed with clear marquee weddings and the range of wedding styles they can help create. In terms of wedding day aesthetics, we’re inspired by interior designs and creating a homely feel. I personally love a modern look, with plenty of texture and feature pieces, such as a beautiful statement entrance and I think every wedding isn’t complete until the florals arrive.

What are some of your most popular pieces?

We build all of our own furniture and our most popular items are always our bars. A great statement bar can really set the tone for the styling of a marquee wedding.

Are your products for sale, hire or both?

Hire is 95% of what we do, but we also sell custom made furniture in our “off-season”.

Do you offer a custom made or a bespoke sourcing service?

We sure do! It is one of the most-loved aspects of our business.
