UNBRIDLED STUDIO fuses contemporary bridal silhouettes with transformative separates.

The brand’s ethos is underpinned by the importance of sublime fabrication and impeccable cuts, with an emphasis on the innovative styling possibilities of each piece.

This female-founded brand was launched in 2023 by Designer and Creative Director Anna Vesty. Later joined by fellow Director Ruth Malton, these fashion industry veterans bring an effortless and modern collection to the bridal scene.

Behind The Brand

What was the spark for beginning your brand?

Before launching UNBRIDLED STUDIO, I designed luxury ready-to-wear (RTW) and bridal for many years for an iconic London brand. When the time came, I had the opportunity to design my own wedding dress. It was incredibly special and reinforced my passion for that particular aspect of design, later paving the way for launching the brand several years later.

Building the brand from the ground up and having complete creative control has been liberating, allowing us to move forward in a very clear direction. Each piece in the collection is incredibly considered. An edited capsule launch collection forced me to pressure-test every piece to ensure all styles had a point of view and could work together to create a wealth of different looks while still feeling effortless. No piece in the collection stands alone; there are many incarnations and styling possibilities.

What inspires you creatively?

I am always very inspired by the past, specifically elements of design that have stood the test of time and still look as modern today as they did several decades

While there is something so charming about a piece of design that speaks of its era, it is essential to our aesthetic that our collection strikes the delicate balance between modernity and timelessness. I want the core of our collection to have design longevity. I love the notion that a bride’s daughter might one day wear one of our pieces and feel as chic and current as her mother did. From a sustainability standpoint too, this is our wish.

A favourite quote or piece of advice that inspires your creative work.

The greatest piece of advice I received early in my career is, “You don’t have to be all things to all people.” Some people will love what you create; others won’t, and that’s fine. You don’t have to appeal to everyone. That’s the beauty of design—it’s subjective. From a creative perspective, this mindset is incredibly freeing.

What advice can you give to brides when shopping for their dress?

Don’t let others cloud your judgment. While it is important to share those “iconic” moments that seem like a rite of passage, have the courage of your convictions. We have many brides who come to visit us on their own; this isn’t for everyone, but it’s fabulous to see this strong sense of independence and personal style.

What are you drawn to in bridal right now? And what would you love to see less of?

That tradition and expectation are becoming less important. This shift is paving the way for individuality and allowing brides to have more fun. While we embrace “timelessness” over “trend,” I absolutely believe that bridal is fashion, and it’s refreshing to see that gap being bridged.
