We’re a small and exclusive team of professional wedding planners in Cabo that caters to a very specific couple: The laid-back kind that values high quality experiences, elevated designs but who is also seeking to create everlasting memories by spending quality time with the people that matter. We craft effortless occasions for our couples and their guests, that allow them to feel relaxed, pampered, and present for the entire wedding weekend.

Behind the Brand

What was the initial spark for your brand, how did it all begin?

Before founding Vivid Occasions, I used to work for another wedding planning company that did too many weddings in a year. It was the typical cookie cutter wedding service and it always felt wrong, I was never proud of what I was doing and felt I could do more so I decided to create Vivid Occasions as a boutique service that would focus on quality versus quantity. I love destination weddings because everyone is so relaxed, it’s a “big family vacation” with a great celebration in the middle and it is more than just one day. But it does not end there. Every day spent needs to feel unique, as a new experience but at the same time be cohesive with the entire wedding weekend. That is why we focus on building up momentum throughout the weekend to create unforgettable moments, hilarious anecdotes, emotional moments, and jaw-dropping design. I want to make sure that our clients immerse themselves in the local culture, see the Mexican hospitality firsthand and only get access to the best quality standards that Cabo and other destinations in Mexico have to offer.

I think it’s important to mention that I chose the word Vivid in the company name as I like vibrant colors but also I aim to create moments that when relived, they still feel real, evocative… vivid!

How would you describe your aesthetic?

We go after designs that appeal to all senses. We aim to create a balance of simplicity enhanced by details while always incorporating the beauty of the venue. Colors, textures, patterns, scents: we like our guests to discover things as they walk into a room and keep being surprised by all that surrounds them.

While we cater to each one of our clients’ specific needs, we do prefer any modern aesthetics and stay away from short lasting trends.

As a planner or stylist, what are you inspired by at the moment in the world of weddings?

Natural beauty, and a good mix of contemporary Mexican architecture and classic European styles. We love curating styles to create eclectic looks.

What would you like to see less of?

Neutral color palettes. Let’s stop playing safe!

A styling/planning tip or two you’ve learned along the way that you’d give to any couple?

Identify what makes you awesome as a couple, what would others say “this is very you” and find a way to transmit it throughout your wedding.
