What rooms/spaces do you have available for a wedding?

Our plush, intimate and private, Lady Nelson room presents Port Phillip Bay’s magnificence in dramatic, panoramic fashion. The height of luxury, Darwin Room, features spectacular east-facing views with exclusive access to your very own private terrace. With the flexibility to combine both of our private dining rooms, this elegant, expansive space creates an inspiring perspective of Melbourne’s cityscape. Add on our Estuary room and you will enjoy 180-degree views across Port Phillip Bay and Albert Park Lake, perched 55 levels above Collins Street to take in some of the city’s most renowned views.

How many people can each of these cater for?

Both our Lady Nelson and Darwin room with the private terrace each individually seat up to 52 people and hold a capacity of 65 for a cocktail style event. For those wanting to combine the two rooms, the capacity for seating is 100 people and 150 for cocktail.

Combining all three spaces (Lady Nelson, Darwin, and the Estuary) we are able to have up to 125 people seated, and 230 for a larger cocktail reception.

Do you offer onsite accommodation?

We do not, however, the Intercontinental Hotel is also located within the Rialto Building.

What additional features and facilities does your venue offer that couples may find useful?

We also offer offsite catering, our team regularly produce small and large scale events off-site and across borders. From iconic venues to poolside picnics, palatial country manors to derelict city warehouses, if you can dream it, Vue Events will take you there.

Couples who are looking for the ultimate in luxury, you and your guests are offered a dining and sensory experience with no rival. Perfect for couples looking for an extravagant cocktail celebration, gastronomic degustation, or perhaps a touch of both.

Sky-high above Melbourne the view from Rialto is like nowhere else in the city, combined with refined, considered luxury this is an experience for every sense.

Further to this iconic city institution, we personally love that Vue Events has multiple venues. If your preference is for a garden wedding and reception there is Jardin Tan, and for the couple wanting to explore outside of the city, Burnham Beeches is set in the lush surrounds of the Sherbrooke forest. Alternatively, the team offers bespoke events across borders, therefore you’re not restricted to just Melbourne.

Styling tips…

Aim to enhance the already ambient space with bold, sculptural florals that hero one variety, for example, roses en mass. Select fine stemmed cutlery and add beautifully handwritten menus giving a considered, personal touch to your celebration.
