About Ximena Zermeño
Hi, I'm Ximena Zermeño, a Mexican destination wedding photographer with a passion for capturing love stories and the essence of each couple.
I'm not a typical wedding photographer; I'm a perpetually curious soul, a warrior for meaningful causes, and someone who cherishes every moment of life.
Originally from Mexico City, I dedicated a decade to serving as a criminal attorney, advocating for social causes while balancing the responsibilities of being a single mother to my 21-year-old son. However, my heart longed for a new chapter. Taking a leap of faith, I ventured into photography, becoming the first female wedding photographer in Mexico City.
In addition to my photography career, I also served as a teacher within the wedding photography field. This path led me to relocate to the serene landscapes of Los Cabos, where I now call home.
Here, I fulfill my dream life, immersing myself in clear oceans, mountain biking, meditation, and rescuing street dogs. Moreover, I've ventured into the world of artisanal Mezcal production with my best friend and some other projects too.
I'm also excited to announce the launch of a new podcast, where I delve into the vision behind my latest project, "Marry Yourself Worldwide." This endeavor is not just about photography—it's about redefining self-love and empowerment through the lens of individuality and celebration.

What draws you to wedding photography?
I am drawn to wedding photography not only because of my skill in capturing moments but also because of the unique energy and personalized connection I bring to each wedding. What sets me apart from others is that my best product is not just the photos; it is the authentic moments, emotions, and unforgettable experiences I create for my clients. My passion for meaningful connections and ability to blend seamlessly into each wedding environment allow me to capture the true essence of every special day.
How would you describe your photography style?
My photography style is best described as natural, storytelling through a blend of candid moments, artistic flair, and an emphasis on capturing genuine emotions and authentic interactions. I love to create timeless and vibrant images that narrate the unique story of each couple while evoking emotions and memories for years to come.
What inspires you creatively?
I am always inspired in life by my life.
What is it that makes an image magical?
What makes an image truly magical is its ability to capture emotions, tell a compelling story, and evoke a sense of connection in the viewer. The magic of an image often lies in its ability to transcend the elements captured and evoke a deeper emotional response. Elements such as composition, lighting, timing, and the photographer’s unique perspective all play a role in creating a magical image that resonates with its audience. Ultimately, a magical image is one that transports viewers to a moment and their emotions.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
When choosing a wedding photographer, research different styles, meet to ensure a good connection, review full portfolios, discuss details and pricing, seek recommendations, confirm availability, and consider how their PERSONALITY aligns with yours, ensuring your special day is captured beautifully and authentically.
