About xo Me Studio

xo Me Studio is the creative home of Laura Quackenboss, a documentary meets editorial photographer. Like the end of a love letter, xo Me Studio is an ode to romance. Yes, romantic love, but even more so the romance of life. The knowing gaze between lovers, the first sip of coffee, a dinner table sprawled with plates and chatter. Small moments of wonder and connection. Her passion for photography stems from capturing these quiet moments that string together to form a life’s story.

Behind The Brand

What draws you to wedding photography?

Weddings are an intersection of so many aspects of the human experience: love, style, family, dancing, dining, anticipation and release. It is a firework when all of these elements come together. There are people who have never met, people who deeply know each other, people that will see each other tomorrow and people that may never see each other again. A wedding day is a series of unique and emotive moments. And the ability to pause time, to freeze those moments is a true wonder.

How would you describe your photography style?

Vivid, authentic, intimate.

What inspires you creatively?

Vast blue skies, dining scenes, shadows, fellow artists, architecture, feelings, culture, open fields, human interactions, personal style, movies, going for walks without distraction.

What is it that makes an image magical?

When you want to be there. There is an energy captured in an image that draws you in. It is the thing you can’t quite put your finger on, but you can feel. And that feeling is like a magnet, evoking a longing to jump into that scene. Maybe it is the glow of a dinner table, the grin of a grandparent, a sweating cocktail, or sunset light on a bride’s face. All making you want to be sitting in that scene. Sitting at that table.

What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?

Like falling in love, when you know you know. As with many decisions, there is an instinctive feeling. The photos you keep thinking of, the photos you want to see yourself in. If you “have to have that photographer”.  If that person doesn’t jump out, keep looking and give yourself time to see what photos haunt you.

Follow that instinct up by getting to know them personally on a call. You spend a lot of time with your photographer so knowing their personality and energy is important to be at ease and trust. And from that place, surrender and creativity flow.

Your dream location to shoot a wedding?

France. An intimate wedding in the countryside sounds like a beautiful visual backdrop for a love story.

Editor’s Notes

Why we love them…

Both old fashioned and opulent, Laura Quackenboss captures the feeling of nostalgia with cinematic brilliance. With a signature that fuses documentary honesty with an editorial eye, xo Me Studio brings attention to life’s fleeting in-betweens. Her imagery dissects moments, revealing color, complexity, and intimacy in every frame.

For the couple…

For those who live for details that go unnoticed by most. Who believe the most evocative photos are the ones that make you feel there, decades later. If your ideal wedding album reads like visual poetry, xo Me Studio will craft a world around your day that’s as emotionally magnetic as it is exquisitely composed.
