About Yidaki Studio
We are Christian & Aurora of Yidaki Studio, a married photography and videography duo based in Lake Como, Italy specialized in wedding and elopement photography.
Our identity pays homage to the Yidaki, an ancient instrument of the Aboriginal people of Australia. Just as the Yidaki bridges the gap between humanity and the natural world, we are dedicated to celebrating the deep connections that define love stories and partnerships.
Our mission is to weave the essence of this profound connection into every aspect of our brand, inviting you to embark on a journey of love that is as enduring as the ancient rhythms of the Yidaki.

Behind The Brand
What draws you to wedding photography?
From a young age, I was captivated by the beauty of old photographs and the stories they held. We both started picking up the camera just for fun, photographing objects and nature. But I only began to seriously think about photography after meeting my husband, finding in this hobby a true bond and a way for us to grow together. Wedding photography was a totally natural choice for us.
How would you describe your photography style?
Nostalgia is our signature style, as we craft cinematic scenes that transport you back in time. In my photography, each frame serves as a portal to the past—a timeless moment frozen in the present. It’s not just about capturing images; it’s about preserving emotions and stories that transport you to the very essence of the moment.
What inspires you creatively?
I draw inspiration from the elegance of movies, where every frame is carefully composed to narrate a powerful story. Space has always fascinated me… the stars, nebulae, and celestial wonders add a touch of nostalgic mood to my art, as if I’m taking everyone on a journey through distant galaxies.
I’m in love also with everything vintage, but I believe that my inspiration comes from the people around me and the stories they held.
What is it that makes an image magical?
What I believe makes an image magical and special is the unique, profound, and above all personal meaning that each of us can give it. Images are not only all different, but each image is different for every person who takes the time to observe it. This makes photography so personal and full of meaning that even today, I pause to think about how many meanings my photographs can have for those who truly take the time to look at them.
What advice would you give couples when selecting their wedding photographer?
I always suggest to couples not to stop at just a few photos but to view an entire portfolio. The chemistry with the photographer is just as important as the beauty of the photos they take.
Your dream location to shoot a wedding?
I see so many beautiful locations on Lake Como where we live, but I would love to shoot in some old residence or castle in Francelike Chateau de Villette or natural beauties like Iceland.
Editor’s Notes
Why we love them…
Poetic images that spill with artistry. Light, composition, and movement evoking visceral feelings, as if in a whirlwind of beauty and emotion. When looking at Yidaki Studio’s images, you can feel the whispers of the wind gently caress your gown. You can sense the crispness through your hair and the embrace that segues into the most heartfelt kiss.
For the couple…
For those who seek highly artistic images, rich with documentary notes and dramatized by elements such as light and movement. For the couple who surrenders to ancestral energy, understanding that we are all made of stardust, and you just might capture that essence in a passionately taken photograph.
