Rime Arodaky Fall ’19 Bridal
A dance of light and shadow, a dreamy ballet inspired collection.
A dance of light and shadow, closeness and space, Rime Arodaky’s Fall ’19 collection explores the fluid connection between two lovers through movement. Ballet motifs graced the collection as ethereal layers of the finest tulle was crafted into floating sheer gowns and voluminous tutu inspired dresses that puffed out from sleeves, mini dresses and dramatic capes as they sweep down the runway.
Models were styled like they’ve just come from rehearsal, with shiny oil slicked hair and skin, ribbon wrapped heels reminiscent of pointe shoes and effortlessly wrapped and knotted details. The collection defines a modern romanticism, beautifully soft yet with undeniable undertones of a sport-luxe mode as cropped silhouettes, thick linear straps and bold cuts goes beyond the overtly feminine ballet inspired bridal we’ve seen so often.
“Movement is the start of everything around us. We choose to move forward, move away, move on…”
Editor’s Highlight
A sheer delicately pleated fabric encapsulating a dreamy fluid essence across a small selection of unique designs. It was a modern approach to pleating we hadn’t yet seen before in bridal, yet it’s true strength came to light in the form of a billowing bishop sleeve that caught our eyes in one simple sweep.
Style Tips
Sheer styles call for a delicate touch when it comes to styling. Compliment the ethereal lightness of the designs by pairing with white high waist briefs to attain the translucent quality of the fabric. For a more modest approach, wear a light silk or delicate knee length slip with a lace trim to not take away from the leg line.
