Steeped in Hungarian and Eastern European designs, introducing Daalarna’s Fall/ Winter 2020 collection ‘Folk’, a poetic fusion of traditional techniques and silhouettes reinterpreted for the modern woman.
Bound by a sense of weightlessness and steeped in romantic, delectable textures, the collection dances between the past and present, interweaving classical and authentic elements with a contemporary boldness. Artisanal folk embroidery and macramé lace is stitched into fashion-forward styles with billowing full sleeves, ruffled necklines, and slimline cuts. While whimsical floral appliqué and pearl button adornments are paired with weightless silks and barely-there tulle into ankle-skimming lengths for the more classically driven. Each piece, crafted with masterful precision and attention to detail and displaying a rare eye for restrained decadence in today’s bridal market.
